Upward Promotes Character and Self-Esteem in Every Child:

2. Upward will establish a one-hour practice and game each week.

3. Upward will implement a substitution system for each team, allowing every child equal playing time.

4. Upward will create the opportunity for every child to learn the skills of the game.

 

Today's sports culture has created a "win at all cost" mentality.  However, Upward defines winning as learning and/or teaching lessons in the game of life.  The emphasis is placed on having fun and good sportsmanship.

 

 Soccer

Community Baptist Church and Legacy Christian Church are bringing Upward Soccer to our community.  Your child will have fun learning or improving their soccer skills through Upward.  While playing Upward Soccer, your child will receive a special recognition award after every game and have the opportunity to develop new friendships.

Pick up a brochure at Legacy Christian Church, 216 N. Sycamore St., Harrison

 

Cost per child:  $55

Scholarships are available.

Your child will receive the following:

*Upward reversible jersey

*Upward water bottle

*Upward socks

*Upward car magnet

*End-of-season award

 

Everyone must attend a soccer evaluation. 

They will take place at Community Baptist Church at 10960 Edgewood Rd., Harrison on Saturday, July 26, from 10:00 am - 3:30 pm.

 

Practices begin the week of Monday, August 18, 2008.

First game on Saturday, September 6, 2008.

Awards Celebration on Tuesday, October 28, 2008.
