Sunday, November 9, at 7:00 p.m., the first offical worship service of Shawneespring Community Church, under the direction of Pastor Larry Nielsen, took place. The Children's Ministry of Legacy Christian Church hosted a reception immediately following the worship service. 52 people were in attendance at this historic worship service. |
After several years of providing worship experiences to the residents of Shawneespring Health Care Facility just outside of Harrison, Ohio, Legacy Christian Church is planting a new church there.
SCC has been intentionally designed to meet the spiritual needs of the residents of Shawneespring.

Shawneespring Community Church's History
Under the leadership of Pastor Larry Nielsen, LCC had been providing worship services at Shawneespring two Sundays per month for several months. After extended conversations with the Shawneespring administration, the permission was given to begin a church in the facility with residents serving as Elders and eventually forming a church board. Legacy Christian Church is very excited to be a part of this new church beginning. Shawneespring Community Church's founding pastor is Rev. Larry Nielsen. Pastor Nielsen is a Licensed Minister with standing in the Christian Church of Ohio and a member of the staff of the Legacy Christian Church in Harrison, Ohio. He is a second career minister and is in the process of seeking ordination.
